Function description maritime vacancy Electrician
To assist subcontractors and personnel of associated vessels in the spread with troubleshooting and repairs on electrical systems
To execute and control assigned activities and tasks
To execute daily activities as watch keeping, operating of machinery, maintenance and repairs
To comply with the Company’s procedures concerning Heavy lift, Pipelay and Dynamic Positioning operations (if applicable)
To detect and report (the underlying root cause of (recurrent)) malfunctioning electrical systems, circuits and equipment
To assist during construction activities by operating electrical systems and equipment, providing lighting, etc.
To perform maintenance on the electrical systems of machinery and equipment in engine room spaces, cranes, bridge (DP-computers and systems, satellite television systems etc.), accommodation (air-conditioning systems, elevators), galley (food processing apparatus, provision refrigerating systems), deck equipment (e.g. forklift trucks, pile driving hammers, etc.), safety and lifesaving equipment (in consultation with HSEO and Safety Officers)
To request order of spare parts and advise on the spare part policy for electrical equipment
To create and implement Job Safety Analyses
(If applicable) check and authorize Permit to Work, (de)isolation and E-record keeping, Electrical repair and maintenance, Verification of no conflicting permits
Correct implementation of lockout-tag out and overrules actions
To perform Toolbox talks
To ensure proper job hand-over
To ensure documentation is up-to-date according current electrical systems configuration
To test or commission an electrical system before it is handed over to the end-user
To supervise and provide input for assessment of personnel of the electrical section, assistant electricians and trainees
To participate in various Emergency Response Teams such as Quick Response Teams and Fire Fighting Teams.
To interrupt and correct unsafe actions or conditions in his discipline and report to his supervisor
To access authorized personnel area’s and (automated) systems within the scope of work
To accept and authorize electrical (de)isolation
To perform high and low voltage switching, electrical (de)isolation and overrides.
Function demands maritime vacancy Electrician
HTS-E/ HBO-E
DP maintenance training
Basic Software Knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens S5-S7)
Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications, ERP system (INFOR) and CAD tools (EPlan and SmartSketch)
Fluent in English language verbally and in writing, including technical terms
Profound knowledge of the vessel’s electrical systems by means of general knowledge and vendor specific installation maintenance (and operating) training.
3 - 5 years’ experience in an offshore / maritime / relevant civil electrical function with proven track record.
