Jacking Engineer

Job description

Our client is one of the worlds leading supplier of Self Elevating Platforms for both the energy markets gas, oil and windmills as well as the offshore construction market.

We are currently looking for a Jacking Engineer on board of one of their barges, operating in the North Sea.

Activities

  • Daily control and operational matters of the units jacking system
  • Day to day maintenance on the units jacking system
  • Operating the jacking system within the design criteria
  • Assist the Barge Master, supervising the barge related activities
  • Assist with barge movements
  • Assist during anchor handling operations and support vessel activities
  • Report/writing skills required to prepare and maintain the jacking log and load stability sheets, as well as recording scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the jacking system
  • Reports to the Barge Master
  • Being familiar with his duties in an emergency situation and being aware of acts & regulations, companys procedures, and ensures that those are complied with

Job requirements

  • Rounded secondary training in maritime or technical direction
  • Proven work experience (1 year)  in a similar position in the jack-up, offshore or Maritime industry
  • Knowledge of electric and hydraulic systems
  • Good English Communication skills, both spoken and written
  • BOSIET, HUET (incl. EBS) are required
